These terms govern your use of Diety, the calorie deficit tracker published by Jitender Kumar ("we", "us"), available on the App Store and Google Play. By installing or using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
Diety estimates the energy and nutrients in what you eat, estimates what your body burns, and tracks the difference. It is a tool for general wellness and self-tracking.
Diety is not a medical device and does not give medical advice. Nothing in the app is a diagnosis, a treatment, or a substitute for professional care. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian before changing how you eat, and especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, under 18, recovering from an eating disorder, or managing diabetes, kidney disease, heart disease or any other condition. If you think you have a medical emergency, contact your local emergency service.
Calories, macronutrients, portion sizes, your maintenance figure and any projection are estimates, produced from models, public food databases and, for some features, artificial intelligence. They carry error. A photograph of a meal cannot tell us how much oil was used. A dish with the same name is cooked differently in different homes.
You are responsible for checking the figures before you rely on them. Every card the app produces can be corrected before it is saved, and that is deliberate.
Diety has no accounts and no sign-in. Your profile, diary, goals and measurements are stored on your device. What that means for your privacy, including the limited cases where data is sent out to make a feature work, is set out in our Privacy Policy and, for iPhone, the iOS Privacy Policy.
Because the data is on your device, uninstalling the app deletes it, and we cannot recover it for you. Keep your own backup if it matters to you.
Diety is free to download and includes a limited allowance of AI features. Premium unlocks unlimited AI analysis, custom macro splits and the detailed nutrient views.
The AI features cost money to run, so they carry limits. Do not attempt to work around those limits, automate requests, resell access, or use the app to build a competing dataset or service. We may suspend access that is abusive or that threatens the service for other people.
You keep ownership of everything you put into the app — your entries, your notes and your photographs. You grant us only the permission needed to operate the features you use, as described in the Privacy Policy, and nothing more.
Some features depend on others: Anthropic for AI answers, Edamam for food data, Open Food Facts for barcodes, Apple and Google for payments. Those services have their own terms, they can change, and they can be unavailable. A feature that depends on one may stop working through no fault of ours.
We try to keep the app working and accurate, but we do not promise that it will be available without interruption, free of errors, or that any estimate is correct. Features may change or be withdrawn.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any health outcome, arising from your use of the app or from reliance on its estimates. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited — including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud — and nothing here affects consumer rights you have under the law of your country that cannot be waived.
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept it. If a change is significant, we will make it visible in the app.
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Faridabad, Haryana have jurisdiction — except where the law of your own country gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which it may.
